I also have a special place in my heart for Kevin Durant, because I used to watch him play for Texas while I was at OSU (Go Cowboys!).
Nineteen years ago I was in sixth grade and living in Oklahoma, attending an elementary school East of Oklahoma City. The date April 19th will always have to me, like all Oklahomans, a special significance that will travel with me throughout my life. We will never forget.

Personally, I’m surprised that Dickens didn’t make this ‘top top’ list, but then again, I’ve only read half of these, better get going. I’m NOT surprised by Tolstoy’s place at the top, if you haven’t read Anna Karenina, go forth and make yourself better off than you were before…
So to celebrate the first weekend with forecasted temperatures over 75 degrees, we went out to Folly Beach to stay with our friends Ben and Tress. Hollis of course was in tow. However, I forgot my computer so I have a couple of ‘make up’ posts to do.
Anyway, here’s some pictures of a typical Folly weekend…

Gone are the days when running intervals consisted of me using the timer on my iPhone, having to start and stop the thing every minute, grasping frantically at my arm band, so not watching the road and almost running into people/trees/etc. Not. Pretty.
Bring on the days of the Nike+ Running App
A voice over set to your needs tells you the time ran, distance, and average pace in a very soothing voice. It also will play over either Pandora or Spotify (an absolute must for me) and will track your route via GPS.
I hadn’t had so much fun on a run in a long time, trying to best my ‘average pace’ and not having to fool around with shutting off and on my timer – instead I could just sit back (well, run), relax, and let the app guide my way. Aaaaaaah, technology.
